Twelve winters past, on a snowy day,
Eight pups were born — hooray, hooray!
Saint Nicholas winked, “What luck, what cheer!
Eight furry gifts have landed here!”


Through zoomies wild and naps so deep,
Through stolen socks and muddy leaps,
You’ve chased your tails and ruled the park,
Barked at squirrels (just for a lark).


Now twelve years old — you wise old eight,
With silver snouts and cozy flair,
May every dawn bring sniffs anew,
And heaps of biscuits (one for each of you)!


May health stay strong, your legs still spry,
May every stick be yours to try,
May every walk bring grand adventures,
And humans who give belly ventures.


So wag your tails, both near and far,
You’re birthday legends — canine stars!
With woofs and joy, we all proclaim:
Long live the fluff that none can tame!
